Bio

Mimi is a Dominican-American actor from Harlem, New York. Living in the Dominican Republic for the first thirteen years of her life, she felt much like an outsider, and sought creative outlets to express herself. By middle school, she fell in love with acting, and explored her performing range with a dramatic portrayal of Virgin Mary - a role that she would like to revisit at some point in her career.

During college, she joined the Italian school production 'Le Condomine Scatenate'. Here, she met Italian director Vittorio Cappotorto, who later became one of her mentors. After graduation, she went on to be part of several plays directed and produced by Cappotorto, including the lead role of ItalyTime's Pinocchio.

Nowadays, Mimi has found a new love in TV and Film. She is mostly cast as someone in love triangles and tumultuous relationships. Her latest roles were in the short films 'The Porn Radio Show', where she played a famous porn star on a radio show interview, and 'Empathy', where she takes the role of a grieving mother who loses her unborn baby and gets served with divorce papers.

In her free time, you can find Mimi enjoying life in the big city with her 2 cats, dining out with her loving husband and visiting museums. Mimi is also an advocate of raw-feeding for cats.

“Mimi added a vibrant energy to our set by having a smile on her face and absolutely nailing her scenes.  She was professional, kind and the type of person that I want to be friends with outside of the work day."

Amanda McCreight, Director

"Mimi is dedicated, kind and talented. Working with her was a breeze. We communicated well with one another. She was clear on what I needed from her as an actor and she spoke up to let me know what she needed from me as a director. Clear communication resulted in a moving portrayal of her role of Jewel, along with a comforting atmosphere with her around during the chaos of being on set while filming. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat. 10 out of 5 stars." - JoiAshanti Watkis, Director
